Help me give my students engaging rewards like snacks, school supplies, fidgets, and small gifts to stock our Raiders Rewards Store and celebrate positive behavior and academic growth.

My Project

My students are an incredibly diverse group, representing a wide range of racial and ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic situations, and academic abilities. What I love about them is that, despite these differences, they are all learning to grow, adapt, and navigate the transition from youth to adulthood.

The materials I am requesting for our Raiders Rewards Store, snacks, small gifts, fidgets, keychains, school supplies, and other fun items, will be the final step in our rewards program.

Staff awards students Raiders Bucks when they demonstrate kindness, responsibility, integrity, and respect; improve their behavior or work habits; or excel academically.

By earning Raiders Bucks and using them in the store, students will see a direct connection between their efforts and positive outcomes. Small treats provide immediate motivation, while larger items encourage goal-setting and sustained engagement.

To students, the scales often feel unbalanced. Students face disciplinary consequences for misbehavior, but positive behaviors are rarely reinforced. As teenagers developing autonomy and decision-making skills, it is important to show them that working hard, improving themselves, and leaning into their talents pays off—just as adults are incentivized for outstanding work.

Having these resources will allow us to create a school store that is exciting, visible, and meaningful. Students can make choices, set goals, and celebrate accomplishments while developing independence, decision-making skills, and responsibility as they plan and budget their Raiders Bucks.

Every sticker, snack, or fidget will help students feel seen, valued, and inspired to do their best. Supporting this project will build a culture of recognition, positivity, and academic motivation at Roosevelt, bringing our PBIS program to life in a tangible and lasting way.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
