My Students

Our student demographics include a wide spectrum of learners, coming from different backgrounds and experiences. One commonality among all our students is a love for learning. Whether it's exploring new skills and concepts or applying what they know to authentic tasks, our classroom is a place where the students want to be.

My Project

Fourth-grade social studies is filled with stories of the people and the events that helped to make our state what it is today. Our class has also been learning that visual arts have been used since time immemorial to document the experiences and expressions of those creating them.

Our students will now have the opportunity to demonstrate key understandings from their learning by integrating art into our social studies curriculum.

Students will exercise voice and choice with their projects, choosing a significant time, place, or person to depict, and deciding how to best represent a snapshot of history through their creations.
