Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students will benefit from a variety of supplies to assist with regulating their emotions when they are experiencing emotional dysregulation or are in need of a break from the classroom. As a high school counselor, I have a caseload of over 200 students, with a portion of my students seeking mental health support on a regular basis. The items will allow my students to take a break and support the development of their coping skills, so they can return to the classroom to continue to access their education. With different materials to help support students in re-regulating their emotions through sensory experiences, I can help ensure I have items in my counseling office that all my students can benefit from.
