Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These materials will be used to help my 9th grade physics students create mini mars rovers. Through this project, my students will learn all about electrical components and circuitry in order to correctly wire all of their components together. They will also be introduced to programming using Arduino IDE, which will allow them to control how their rovers communicate with their phones through bluetooth and control how their rovers move based on specific commands.

My 9th graders and I are part of a project-based learning school that emphasizes hands-on work, in which students truly learn by doing.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
