This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items in our classroom store will directly support student motivation, focus, and positive behavior during a critical time in the school year. By earning school currency for staying on task, participating, and showing growth, students will see a clear connection between their effort and rewards. These items will serve as incentives that keep students engaged as we prepare for our final round of testing, helping build consistency and confidence in their learning habits.

My goal for this project is to create an environment where students can help each other by learning from one another.

In order to do that, I want to maximize student engagement and participation. My students are hilarious and energetic, and I want to channel that energy and wit to more academic topics. They benefit from tangible encouragement and clear goals i.e. the statewide test and candy. This classroom store will celebrate their hard work, reinforce positive choices, and help them finish the year strong with a sense of accomplishment and maybe a slight sugar rush.
