Help me give my students optical mice to allow them to better navigate software needed to apply engineering knowledge of tangible 3D objects in a virtual space. Combined wireless and backup mice will allow them this opportunity.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are hungry for knowledge. They soak up new information and love learning about their passions. The ability to provide them new ways of interacting with information can give them the edge they need as they move on into High School and beyond.
The opportunity to utilize technology in the classroom is by no means mandatory for a good education, but it most certainly encourages an excellent one.
My students are always chatting about what they do in their free time, and it often includes some form of technology; their smartphones, game consoles, and tablets among the most common. Having the opportunity to teach them to become fluent in these devices and to show them how they can be used for so much more than watching Netflix and playing FortNite would be invaluable.
The students that I educate and see on a daily basis have a wide range of strengths as well as weaknesses, and I accept and appreciate them for both. Their weaknesses, which are inherent in all individuals, young and old, are, unfortunately, amplified by their environment. The community in which my students live their lives is rich in diversity and culture but poor in socioeconomic stability.
My Project
The materials that I am requesting for my students will be used to better navigate Project Lead the Way curriculum. This curriculum entails that my students, who have very little exposure to technology, navigate CAD software to visualize tangible prototypes they've created.
The mice will greatly increase the students success using these programs compared to the trackpads which only hamper and frustrate their experience.
My students are typically used to texting and typing with two fingers. I have already allotted time for them to type in class to acclimate themselves to a computer keyboard. They have made great gains in that area, but now I need your help to give them direct experience using computer mice.
To most of us, using a mouse is very intuitive and natural. However, differentiating between right and left click and the different functionality each allows will be alien to many of my students. Gaining access to these materials will give my students an otherwise very common experience, but to them will be quite educational.
