Help me give my students STEM supplies such as a timer, a simple machines activity set, and flash cards, for our classroom because I want to foster a learning environment that includes scientific inquiry. My students' thirst for learning will help them to consider different perspectives when working in groups.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I serve a group of 17 scholars who are extremely inquisitive and dedicated to their education. They expect to learn something new each day in both math and science instruction. Each morning, we recite our class mantra before beginning exploration activities. By repeating phrases that are highly inspirational, my scholars are set up to succeed for the rest of the day.
Curious, talented, and courageous, my scholars thrive in an academic environment that fosters exponential growth and positive peer relationships.
My Project
STEM is a big focus at my school, especially in my class where I serve gifted scholars. Every Thursday, I set aside time for group exploration. I present my scholars with a problem and they are prompted to use scientific inquiry and their imagination to explore ways to develop a solution.
STEM resources are extremely limited, and I find myself spending a great deal of money to provide the basic necessities of each lesson.
My scholars thrive in an environment that is conducive to learning. Lately, we have been using the same STEM materials. I'm afraid that I will lose my scholars' interests over time.
