This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are excited by the world we live in and how we matter in that world. Finding our voice and answering questions as we inquire about the world we live in is part of our goal in third grade.

My students are fun-loving, curious, and eager to learn about the world.

My Project

Get ready to transform our classroom into an Italian "Fraction" Pizzeria, a Construction "Measurement" Site, and a Deconstruction of "Sentences/Paragraph" Site. These three educational standards are complex concepts to learn in 3rd grade. What better way to make learning fun than by transforming the room and students into active environment participants. These materials will support our students in becoming productive characters that have a purpose in completing entertaining activities and focus on specific skills. Our students will dress up as Chefs and construction workers to practice equivalent fractions, measuring to the nearest 1/4 inch, and structure a sentence and paragraph.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
