This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I love that my students are exceptional learners. They are special to me because they bring 100% to school to learn every day, regardless of their socioeconomic status. Being able to receive this laptop will allow them to work in small groups to Skype with experts about conservation, climate change, and ecology via Microsoft Education.
My students will use Pic Collage to create a digital poster or use Google Drawings, ThingLink, or Infogram to create an infographic about Earth Day.
For our digital posters, we will use Earth Day Pic Collages to photograph and trace a silhouette of our hands. As an added activity, I will allow my students to go on a ThingLink Virtual 360 Field Trip. Here they will see an up close and personal picture and details about trees, beehives, and wetland restoration.
