Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in my classroom are first grade students in a Dual Immersion classroom where 80% of the day is taught in Spanish and 20% of the day in English. The total solar eclipse just passed a few days ago, and the class was beyond excited to learn all about it! One major obstacle we come across in DLI is the need for more Spanish books.
Having fun, informational books about Earth and the world around us in the student’s learning languages will promote more love for learning!
In my cart I have added books from the perspective of our planet and the planets around us to make it kid friendly and fun to learn. With these books, my class will be able to research planets and grow their love for our world.
