Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have such great learning potential which is often hindered by their lack of ability to cope with ongoing stress and anxiety. Not only do these social-emotional enhancement tools clear the way for learning, but it also helps to build their self-confidence, self-efficacy and self-esteem.

My room is set up for my students to have a safe space to take a break when needed.

Items such as the cubes and beads will give them an outlet for redirecting nervous energy.

In addition to having the tools to address a moment of anxiety, games and activity sets will be used in a proactive manner to teach students coping skills to use in future situations.
