We are a very rural community that works very hard for what we have. Most of my students' parents are blue collar workers that are very proud to be part of the working class; my students share their parents' work ethic.
Our school serves a community with a population of about 1000.
The parents are working parents with high expectations for their children. Most of our high school graduates that go to college are the first people in their families to attend college.
My Project
The Lady Eagles compete in the Missouri State High School Activities Association. (MSHSAA). The MSHSAA promotes the value of participation, sportsmanship, team play and personal excellence to develop citizens who make positive contributions to their community and support the democratic principles of our state and nation. These activities can provide the student with educational experiences and learning outcomes that contribute toward the development of good citizenship.
This summer most of our softball equipment was stolen from our equipment shed.
We are doing a couple of different fundraisers to replace the equipment that was lost. This project will provide our team the equipment necessary for practice and pregame warm-ups. Specifically, I am asking for weighted balls, a net, and a ball bag.
