My Project

The Arcade1Up cabinet will significantly enhance student engagement and learning in several ways. Firstly, it offers a unique platform to explore the history of computer science and game design. Students can analyze the evolution of game mechanics, graphics, and programming through classic titles. This hands-on experience will bring abstract concepts to life, making lessons on technology and design more relatable and exciting.

My goal is to create a fun, interactive learning environment that sparks curiosity and encourages students to explore STEM fields.

We aim to use the cabinet as a tool for interdisciplinary lessons, connecting history, technology, and art. Furthermore, it will provide a positive outlet for students during breaks and after-school programs, fostering social interaction and a sense of community.

My students are special because they are a diverse group with varied learning styles and interests. Many face challenges that require creative and engaging teaching methods. The Arcade1Up cabinet will serve as a powerful motivator, capturing their attention and providing a shared experience that builds camaraderie. It’s a way to bridge the gap between traditional learning and the digital world they inhabit, making education more accessible and enjoyable for every student.
