Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My special education classroom has an extremely diverse group of learners with a large range of different needs. All of my students are motivated and driven to succeed.

My students love coming to school each and every day and are learning the necessary skills to be successful in the years to come.

In our classroom, we work on a variety of subjects including math, science, ELA, social studies, art, vocational skills, social skills, daily living skills, and much more. My students require a variety of individualization to meet all of their diverse needs. They best learn from a variety of modalities and repetition. My students require a large amount of small group and 1:1 instruction in order to be successful in the classroom. My students benefit most from hands-on learning. They love building and using their imaginations.

My Project

These Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards will be utilized to purchase a yearlong curriculum of doodle notes for science that covers three grade levels. These doodle notes are a fun and engaging activity for students to participate in order to help them better understand the science curriculum. Doodle notes provide students with visuals, which will help them retain information.

Help me make science creative and colorful for my students.

In my class, I teach three grade levels, and these notes will allow students to all participate in the same activity, but enjoy the curriculum at their grade level. The materials are also easily accessible for students at all different levels.
