The sensory toys have especially helped students stay focused and regulate their emotions during instruction and independent work time. One of my favorite moments was watching students carefully save their points over time so they could purchase a reward they were really excited about. It has created so much positive conversation and encouragement in the classroom, and students are taking more pride in their choices, behavior, and effort each day.\r\n\r\nMy students were beyond excited when they first saw the new materials! They were especially grateful that the PBIS store had been restocked and were excited to make purchases again. Many students were especially excited about the squishy fidget toys and loved having new rewards to work toward. It truly brought positive energy into the classroom and made students feel cared for and appreciated.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, students will keep using the PBIS system to build positive habits, responsibility, and self-regulation skills that support their learning across all subjects. My goal is to continue creating a classroom environment where students feel motivated to participate, collaborate, and put forth their best effort. The new bins have made our PBIS store not only more organized and efficient but also bright and inviting. It's become a highlight of our classroom that students genuinely look forward to each week.\r\n\r\nFridays have quickly become everyone's favorite day because it's store day! Students absolutely love browsing through the bins, especially when they spot the squishy fidget toys and candies — those are always the top picks. Many students carefully save their points throughout the week, eager to finally redeem them for something special. For many of them, these rewards are things they don't often have access to outside of school, which makes the experience even more meaningful and exciting.\r\n\r\nSince starting this system, I've seen a wonderful shift in our classroom culture. Students are more motivated to participate, share their work, and even take on leadership roles to earn points. There's more teamwork and engagement during lessons — even our vocabulary and review games now have a spark of friendly competition.
