DNA Models and Light Absorption

Help me give my students the opportunity to make DNA models out of cotton balls and popsicle sticks! They will also show light absorption with the laser!

My Project

Students will be showing light absorption using lasers and different colored paper. Then students will be demonstrating their knowledge of DNA by making models out of popsicle sticks, pom poms, hot glue, and other school supplies they have available in the classroom.

While doing this project, students are able to see what DNA looks like on a macroscopic level.

The students participating in this assignment are going to benefit from this project by being able to show their understanding in several ways that they choose!
