My Project

Speech therapy should not only be functional, but it should be fun too! Including diverse stories and bringing representation into speech therapy can lead to positive outcomes for students. This 2nd diverse book project allows for even more representation and more diverse stories in speech therapy.

Books are an amazing tool that can be incorporated into speech therapy for language development and for targeting language goals.

They also are a great way to engage students in conversation about specific topics during speech therapy sessions. Adding these diverse books into speech therapy sessions will make speech therapy memorable and allow students to reflect on specific speech and language components they worked on during activities

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
