Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 675 students a week ranging from Kindergarten to 5th grade. We are a Title 1 school in a very transient area. The students have a very short attention span and having updated technology keeps them focused, on task and excited about learning.

I have recently introduced my students to the computers in the library and to what little technology is available to us here at our school and they are so excited that it is not enough for them. Please help us get some more technology in our library.

By utilizing an Elmo, the students will be more engaged in library projects as well as new and exciting literature.

Your help will ensure that my students have new and updated technology. Today teachers must compete with not only shortened attention spans of students, but also PSP, Gameboy and other video games. An Elmo will assist in retaining the students' attention and allowing the students to become more involved in their education.
