My third graders are inquisitive and eager to learn. I am constantly looking for new ways to bring the magic of learning into our classroom so that my students can become life-long learners. A typical day in our classroom is filled with smiles, growth, and enjoyment. I love to utilize innovative ways to help my students learn and retain new information.
To see the excitement on students' faces when they're are able to use technology to support their learning is priceless!
Using technology to learn is very motivating and captivating for students. We currently have one desktop computer that is used to provide instruction to my students using a projector. In addition, I have four Chromebooks for students to use thanks to Donors Choose. This project will allow my students to have increased access to technology.
My Project
Currently, my school shares Chromebooks with all of the classrooms and there are some days the Chromebooks are not available. Having access to the Chromebooks everyday would better support my students.
These Chromebooks will make it easier to prepare students for the future and give them practice with twenty-first century skills they need for success later in life.
The Chromebook will be used daily by my students and will become a vital resource in our classroom. It will allow for differentiation of material based on the students' various needs. The Chromebook will be used to aid students in writing final drafts of their essays. It will also be used for learning games, research, listening to fluent reading, practicing math facts, and so much more!
