My Project

Teaching special education is a challenge. Teachers are given grade level curriculum that they must follow but oftentimes, the material given is too challenging for students with struggling academic needs. For example, we have a reading program that must be taught, even in my self-contained class. The passages we teach are on level S and above, while my students read from levels C-N.

These TPT gift cards would allow me to purchase more appropriate leveled work, while still meeting their needs and the rigor of the curriculum.

I would love to see the stress in my students eyes subside when given easier texts and resources. I will also be able to purchase math assignments and work with scaffolds.
