My Project

I absolutely adore my students!!! I am a returning teacher after thirty years. I had been in industry for years in Hospitality, Catering and most recently, prior to hire Restaurant Management. I migrated into Private Chefing and then "stumbled" into my current position as the International Culture and Cuisine and ProStarts 1 and 2 teacher for those interested in Food Service and Restaurant Management as a career.

I honestly came into this go 'round of teaching with a renewed sense of purpose in hopes of imparting all my institutional knowledge to my students with a 365-degree experience.

Students will work from the textbooks to our cooking labs, which has not yet been brought to fruition for various and sundried reasons beyond my control. I am the new kid on the proverbial Block. We desparately need these kitchen and food service supplies so that when we cook, we have everything we need!

Be that as it may, I aspire to bring lessons to life full circle, that quite simply exposes my students to the foods, methods of preparation, geography, proper table setting and cultural traditions and etiquette that they may be somewhat familiar with, but never dug deep past the surface to really explore.

I plan to teach my students to cook "The Basics," but to think outside the box when it comes to food. They need to learn to taste flavor profiles, herbs and spices well enough to pull together healthy, creative, full meals with an international flair on a dime.

By donating to our project, you will afford my students a culinary experience of a lifetime!
