Design Detectives: Bringing Ideas to Life

My Project

My students are creative, hardworking problem-solvers who show up every day ready to build something new. In our 3D Modeling and Game Design classes, they design incredible objects in 3ds Max, from custom phone stands to historical artifacts to original game pieces, and their attention to detail always impresses me. But right now, their work only exists on a screen. A 3D printer would let them finally hold what they've created, seeing months of learning turn into something real and touchable. It would deepen their understanding of design, spatial reasoning, and iteration, while giving them a genuine sense of pride and ownership over their work.
