Delaware Beaches Field Trip

Help me give my students an amazing first beach field trip by donating supplies to engage in hands-on activities to explore the nature Delaware beaches have to offer.

My Project

This spring 5th grade students have the opportunity to go explore the Delaware beaches. The students will experience a STEM activity. Meanwhile, the other half of the group will be enjoying the beach.

Students will engage in exploring the nature Delaware beaches have to offer.

With the materials donated, students will have the opportunity to birdwatch with binoculars. They will be able to learn and look for egrets and osprey. Students can also hope to see dolphins and whales. Additionally, students will be able to comb the beach for materials that should and should not be on the beach. They will help pick up litter. Then using the shell bags they can have the opportunity to bring home a natural souvenir of shells!

These materials can be used by current 5th graders and future 5th graders. It will give the students an opportunity to get hands-on experience in their home state!
