Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are courageous, creative, and curious learners. Many come from low-income households which can make learning supplies at home hard to come by. My students come to school they are ready to grow and learn. My students inspire me with their eagerness to learn and face challenges head on.

My Project

I hope to give my students more opportunities to explore and read books throughout the day. These board books will allow me to set a basket of books in the middle of the carpet during our transition times. Students will be able to grab a book and read on their own or with a friend while they wait for the next activity. I have noticed that with so many other exciting materials to use during out center time only a few of my students go to our library to explore our books. This would allow all my students a daily time to explore books.
