The students were excited when I mentioned a new trampoline and sensory toys. As therapists, we often work with students who have sensory deprivation and low registration, the trampoline was much needed to help us target those sensory goals for these students. I have a specific student who has a hard time concentrating and needs the vestibular input to his body to help him regulate and attend for longer periods of time. The trampoline you were able to get us, now allows for this student and others to receive the needs they require. \r\n\r\nThe fidget gadgets were also extremely helpful. Often times, therapists are required to work in the classroom with teachers. I've began gifting the sensory gadgets to specific students who may need it in the classroom to concentrate and improve activity tolerance. The students, teachers, and parents also began utilizing the sensory gadgets when the students are unable to concentrate or regulate in the classroom and/or home. Your donations of resource folders, pencils, erasers, pencil cases, laminating pouches, crayons, colored pencils, markers, etc. have helped my students to have the materials needed to make learning possible. \r\n The Common Core Resource folders helped students to have a folder to keep their homework organized in addition to serving as a visual aid with Grade 2 ELA and Math concepts. Something as simple as a pencil case to organize their writing tools meant so much to my 2nd graders. The colorful pencil cases were given to students earlier in the year. Each student received a pencil case filled with an assortment of pencils and erasers. Newer pencils would be given out periodically so that students can have a variety of pencils throughout the weeks. This system helped students to keep their writing utensils organized. The laminating pouches helped to preserve students' work as well as a variety of charts that serve as visual aids for students. The crayons, colored pencils and markers give students the opportunity to make their creations more visually appealing.\r\n Thank you again for your generous donations and your support.
