Cyanotype/Sun Print Project

Help me give my students a chance to learn about Cyanotype artworks by being able to create their own sun-print!

My Project

Hello! I would like to be able to do a Cyanotype artwork with my Art class and club students. Cyanotypes, also referred to as sun prints, are a type of printmaking and photography method that allows them to create a print by exposing the cyanotype paper to the sun. It is a STEAM activity because it allows students to experience the process of a chemical reaction (science), while also learning more about different variations of printmaking and photography. I think this would be a fun way to get students outside to create their artwork as well. They will be able to use different plants and leaves they find in the as well as other provided materials to create the design for their cyanotype. I cannot wait to do this project and see what the students create!
