Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These mechanical pencils will help my students with their cursive writing because of the shape of the pencil. The triangular shape will help them hold the pencil correctly when they are writing.

California has mandated that cursive writing be brought back to the classroom, and these will help them with their pencil grip and position to form their letters correctly plus the lead is thick enough not to break while they are writing.

My goal for this is that each student have a special pencil to use for cursive so that they feel good about writing. I plan to use the highlighters for those struggling students. I will write it and they can trace over the highlighted letters.

My students are special because of the enthusiasm for learning. They are so excited to learn and practice their cursive even despite the low income area that they live in. I have a very diverse group of students, some are special education students, some are general education students, and it doesn't matter because in our classroom everyone is equal and the same!
