My Project

My students live in a rural setting and have limited access to many rich experiences. I strongly desire school to be a place of learning, exploration, and an all-around positive place to be.

We spend all year in this room together and I want to make it a fun, engaging, and enjoyable place for my students to be.

I have wonderful students who are excited about learning. We just don't have enough resources for anything non-essential.

I want to introduce some new books to my classroom but it is expensive to purchase everything out of pocket. The books I selected would be used for read-alouds to discuss and encourage social-emotional growth. These are important topics that need to be covered and are so much easier to talk about through a good storybook!

I also selected a 6 pack of Frog and Toad books for my lower readers as they love these books and I don't have enough to read with a small group. Having multiple copies is essential when working with a small reading group. Hooking kids on a good series is critical. Frog and Toad books do just that!
