My Students

I teach 20 amazing Second graders. I serve students from a variety of backgrounds. Many of my students struggle to make ends meet, while others are well off. My students come to school with different needs, academic and personal as well as some with trauma. My students are beginning to find their independence and learning to make choices for themselves. They are eager to learn and have fun! This year launches them into their future as a unique and independent learner/thinker!

My Project

My students do not have access to many books. These books will give them a variety of choices and experiences. They can learn about the hardships in our world’s past and how people came up with ways to create change. These books will help empower and inspire my students. The kids will see the world in new ways and become grateful for what they have. Reading is so important in all areas of life, so beginning with a solid set of book is key to them becoming good readers as well as life long learners.
