My Project

I am the proud social studies teacher of 120 alternative education students. We are in need of many supplies for our classroom! In my class, I cover financial literacy, social studies and incorporate black history into my lessons. In order to give meaningful lessons each day, we are in need of a projector, speaker, and DVD drive. We use a lot of video clips during our lessons, and our current technology is not in working order. In addition to teaching social studies content, I also am promoting literacy with my students by implementing an inviting reading nook. I want my students to want to read, so I am creating an inviting reading environment and requesting an adjustable stool for the reading table, as well as cozy lights. I have also requested some social studies and black history visual resources for the classroom, as well as white board contact paper to post notes during lessons!
