Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are full of love, creativity, and energy. I am asking for your help in giving these incredible future leaders the resources they require. I want my students to feel supported, valued and cared for when they are in the classroom.

As students come from all different walks of life, keeping the classroom engaging and supplied with resources has become ever more important.

This is why I have requested fidgets, games, calming lights, tea, and snacks to meet the needs of a diverse classroom. Students will be able to regulate their emotion and energy with these resources.

I have also believe supplies such as pads, tampons, lotion, soap, and cleaning supplies are a basic need that all students should have access to in order to remove barriers to comfort and hygiene products.

In addition to this, I have requested a few organizational items so students can begin taking ownership of their assignments and learn the critical life skill of knowing where everything is and where it should be at all times.

Lastly, I have requested whiteboard markers, pencils, pens, and reusable whiteboard sheets so students can express themselves and their work.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
