My Project

In our Title I school, many students come from low income households. They do not always have the resources available at home to do art, and school is the only time they get to make arts and crafts. I am creating an environment that encourages positivity, productivity, and cohesiveness among peers.

My students are energetic and eager to learn which is motivating for me as a teacher to provide them opportunities to succeed!

By providing all of these amazing art and STEM supplies, I am giving my kids a chance to exercise their creative minds and make some incredible art and science projects. Some of these supplies will contribute to future "gifts" for holidays such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and even May Day---a huge one here in Hawaii! Other supplies will support science experiments as well as provide activities for students to do in the classroom during indoor recess and morning business.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
