Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are hardworking, curious, and determined learners who are developing the skills needed to become confident problem solvers. They come to math class ready to participate, collaborate, and overcome challenges, but having access to the right tools can make a significant difference in their learning experience. This project will provide essential resources that support their growth, engagement, and success in mathematics.

Calculators will make a meaningful difference by allowing students to focus on understanding mathematical concepts, solving complex problems, and building confidence rather than struggling with lengthy computations.

Dry-erase markers, copy paper, glue sticks, scissors, and rulers will support hands-on activities, group work, and interactive lessons that encourage students to explore math in creative ways. The goal of this project is to create a classroom environment where students have the materials they need to practice, collaborate, and develop strong mathematical thinking skills.

What makes my students special is their willingness to learn, support one another, and persevere through challenging problems. They are young mathematicians who are building not only academic skills but also confidence, independence, and resilience. With the support of these materials, they will be better prepared to achieve their goals and recognize their potential in mathematics and beyond.
