My Students

My students are excited to come to school each day and to learn from one another. They enjoy working in collaborative groups and sharing their knowledge with each other. They enjoy using their critical thinking skills to evaluate new information while integrating the arts to show their learning. They get very excited any time we can use technology in the classroom, and they aren't afraid to try something new.

Jane Goodall once said, "You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you.

What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make."

With this quote in mind, I want to help my students become aware of the impact they are having on the world around them.

My Project

I was surprised to learn that many of my students could not tie a simple knot. I want to remedy this by having projects that involve yarn and knot tying. This year it so important for students to have their own supplies. This project can help me teach kids to work with yarn and even learn to crochet! Having hands on experience with yarn will help my students learn critical life skills and improve fine motor skills and focus.

My students will be so proud when they see what they've created with their very own hands!
