The Coyote Sunrise series was so popular last year that we ran out of both titles, and so having them back in the machine had many students excited! The couch, pencil pouches, and personalization supplies have an incredible impact on the classroom environment. When our old couch broke down, the students realized how important and fun it was to enjoy flexible seating options in class. As we do a lot of group work, it was a place for kids to engage in productive dialogue and take a break from their assigned desks. When I told them our project funded and we would be getting a new couch, everyone cheered and celebrated.\r\n\r\nHaving flexible seating gives students the opportunity to get to know more of their classmates, while also giving them the power of choice.\r\n\r\nI know that having STEAM supplies like the vinyl is a fun medium for art. Students loved being able to pick from a variety of toppers, and felt their pen was a good representation of them!\r\nThe tote bags were the favorite activity of this project. We learned how to design with the Cricut app, and then how to weed the vinyl so that it could be pressed onto the tote.
