Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are energetic and passionate young learners! Teachers, lawyers, doctors, mechanics, and police officers are some of the wonderful people my third graders imagine and strive to be but lack some of the tools to do so.

They love to learn hands-on and through technology.

They love to research new topics through reading like animals, people, and places. My students come from diverse backgrounds in a low-income neighborhood of Hartford. My classroom is inclusive with special education students, English Language Learners, and regular education students. All students receive free breakfast and lunch daily.

My Project

My classroom and school welcome diverse students every day. It is important to welcome these students with an uplifting and encouraging environment. The Cricut and supplies will help us to do just that! We are home to PK-8th-grade students who would benefit from the creations made with the Cricut. Creating a vibrant meaningful environment aids in the students' motivation to love and be a part of the school community.

The Cricut will enhance students mindsets daily through motivational quotes, creating awards, bulletin boards, and enriching academics like mathematics or literacy!

The Cricut will also help to create projects throughout the school that is adapted to the needs of students and teachers.
