Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I love that my students enjoy coming to my room and are willing to work on things. My kids are super resilient and want to succeed regardless of the challenges that they face daily. My students look forward to having a role model who believes in them.

My Project

These materials will help students get the proper nutrients they lack during the day and increase their focus during classes. Many students spend the whole day without any food in their system and it impacts their learning.

With these materials in my cart such as the canvas, pain, glue etc., it will allow me to get creative with my students and use a different approach to learning through art.

Teaching lessons through art will allow students to understand things from a different perspective. I also added nutritional snacks for my students due to the high population of students who don't eat all day during school and observing the impact it has on students mental state during school. When students don't eat it increases their irritability and decreases their level of patience throughout the day. By giving students more options to eat will encourage them to create better habits when it comes food intake.
