Creativity is Intelligence Having Fun!

Help me give my students an opportunity to share what they know with a Printer, Green Screen, Camcorder, and other tools. These items will help students feel organized, prepared, and ready to learn.

My Students

When I look around my classroom each school day I don't see any two students who are alike. I have students who speak different languages and a few who speak up to 3 languages fluently. I have students who have been sent to school with a kiss from their Mom or Dad and others who are kissing their younger siblings as their parents are home sleeping after a long night at work. I see happy smiling faces from children who are excited to learn and grow each day.

I love my ALL students.

I love them all for their own specific reasons. I love them on their good days and their bad days. I see the future in my classroom and am eager and excited to see what the future has in store for them.

My Project

The items listed may seem random or like things, we won't use often but that's where you're wrong. For Utah social studies there are many times where students work on research projects related to the geography and different people who make up where we live. Having an option for students to share their newfound knowledge through video will open a whole new door for them.

I want to provide an opportunity for my students to be creative and show what they know.

Many times in our class we try doing different activities with a green screen and having a real green screen and not a green table cloth taped to the wall will be really helpful. Every year during Thanksgiving we do a STEAM activity where students create a balloon and we walk our balloons down "broadway" as if we are part of the Macy's Day Parade. A camera and a green screen would make this activity so much easier and more fun for the students. We also learn about dinosaurs and fossils in our science standards. As a whole 4th grade we have a "walking with dinosaur" day. We tape green table cloths to the wall and sprinkle dirt from our local dinosaur museum on the floor and students walk on the dirt as if they're walking with dinosaurs. If we had real recording equipment and a green screen this enhance the engagement and ease of the activity.

This equipment would open so many doors. I will be teaching students and introducing them to technology that will be useful throughout their life. It would also be beneficial if we did do online learning so I can record better quality videos and be more engaging for students who are at.
