The items listed may seem random or like things we won't use often but that's where you're wrong. For Utah social studies there are many times where students work on research projects related to the geography and different people who make up where we live. Having an option for students to share their new found knowledge through video will open a whole new door for them. I want to provide an opportunity for my students to be creative and show what they know. Many times in our class we try doing different activities with a green screen and having a real green screen and not a green table cloth taped to the wall will be really helpful. Every year during Thanksgiving we do a STEAM activity where students create a balloon and we walk our balloons down "broadway" as if we are part of the Macys Day Parade. A camera and green screen would make this activity so much easier and fun for the students. We also learn about dinosaurs and fossils in our science standards. As a whole 4th grade we have a "walking with dinosaur" day. We tape green table cloths to the wall and sprinkle dirt from our local dinosaur museum on the floor and students walk on the dirt as if they're walking with dinosaurs. If we had real recording equipment and a green screen this enhance the engagement and ease of the activity. This equipment would open so many doors. I will be teaching students and introducing them to technology that will be useful throughout their life. It would also be beneficial if we did do online learning so I can record better quality videos and be more engaging for students who are at
