Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to explore and create music. They love to sing, play instruments, and perform. These items will give students the tools to explore different parts of their voices, practice their music literacy, try high-quality instruments, and become composers by creating their own music.

They will use books to practice singing phrases, use stuffed animals for singing games, use xylophones to improvise and react to music, and manipulatives to create rhythmic and melodic compositions.

The goal for this project is to provide tools for students to make, create, and explore their music capabilities.

My students are special because they love to integrate music into their daily lives without realizing it, whether it is singing hello to their teachers and peers, humming random songs to themselves, or echoing rhythmic patterns.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
