Creativity and Teamwork Through Robotics

Help me give my students the Lego Education Spike Prime Robotics Sets and Expansion Set to nurture and expand their curiosity in robotics and problem solving.

My Students

My students are creative, curious, and love to explore!

The students participate in robotics to learn about building, design, and coding, they end up learning persistence and how to encourage each other while solving real world problems and challenges.

We are a small and welcoming Title I school district in the suburbs of Pittsburgh.

My Project

The Spike Prime Lego Education Sets can be used with small groups in school and can also be sent home for a week at a time for our students that are choosing to learn from home this year.

I envision the students in the classroom and the students learning virtually working together to solve problems and challenges.

My students will have opportunities to have live videoconferences with their classmates who are working from home to share their robot designs. They can help each other troubleshoot to find solutions for problems with their robot design or code. The students will be able to discuss what has been successful and where they may need support.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
