Help me give my students the opportunity to have some of the extra basics to use for their art projects expanding beyond crayons and markers.

My Project

By having these supplies, the younger students will be able to work on their cutting abilities. We are looking at artworks from the Op Art and Pop Art styles. With these materials, the students will create layered shapes of color, create color theory collages, and use it to show their knowledge of composition.

There are many benefits to cutting with scissors, including independent movements of each finger, strengthening hand muscles, encouraging bilateral coordination skills (two-handed coordination), visual-motor skills (eye-hand coordination), visual perceptual tasks (directionality), and fine motor skills (separation of hand, finger dexterity).

All students will be able to create multiple artworks in a variety of ways using clay and construction paper, and the kids would be so happy to have real canvases to create their paintings on.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
