This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are in Tk and kindergarten and are creative and playful. Getting new supplies for our classroom will benefit them in many positive ways. They’re always looking for new materials. This year we decided to create a safe corner space for our students to go to whenever they are feeling sad, tired or even angry. This will help them calm down and relax. Therefore, I am asking for a small kid couch and a bean bag chair to put in our calm corner. We are also asking for a projector and speaker to watch movies and videos in our classroom. My students need arts and crafts supplies to use for our fun art project days. They are very creative so we’re asking for a slime maker kit to make our own slime and decorate it. Markers and colored pencils are much needed for my kindergartners to be able to color. I’m also requesting toys and star stickers to give out as prizes whenever my students behave well to motivate them to always listen. We are asking for game boards to play with during our class free time. These materials will be very useful, and will motivate my students to always try their best during class.
