I am currently a kindergarten teacher for a title one school. I am requesting these crayons, markers, paints, scissors, and other art supplies for my students so that they can create and gain fine motor skills with hands on materials. I have many students that have shown great artistic ability in my classroom and I would like them to be able to explore more of their creative side through open ended projects.
These supplies would be used for multiple different subjects to spark creativity and a love for learning in our classroom.
I am requesting paint and paint brushes so that my students are able to create art and gain better grip control as they manipulate the paint brush. I am also requesting play dough which my students can use to create their names and other words while working on fine motor skills. I am requesting crayons because we use them to learn the colors, color pictures and trace letters. I have also requested dry erase markers so that my students can plan out their designs and projects before creating them. We would also use the dry erase markers for letter formation and writing projects.
