Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students at C.S. 112 benefit greatly from having a safe, supportive space during counseling sessions—one where they can express themselves, build trust, and develop coping skills. We are seeking support to provide basic craft supplies and snacks that help make these sessions more engaging, comfortable, and effective.

Creative materials like paper, markers, and simple art tools allow students to communicate feelings they may not yet have the words for.

These hands-on activities often open the door to meaningful conversations and emotional growth. At the same time, providing small, healthy snacks helps students feel at ease and cared for, especially those who may come to sessions hungry or distracted.

Your support will directly contribute to creating a warm, welcoming environment where students feel safe to share, reflect, and heal. These seemingly small resources can make a lasting difference in helping children navigate challenges and build resilience.
