Creative Core Curriculum Supplies

My Students

I work with amazing artists who could use a few resources to help them create masterpieces that integrate core curriculum concepts with art. My students are diverse learners at a Title I school. They are very imaginative and love to create art pieces that inspire me. They enjoy exploring different ways to show an understanding of core concepts.

I teach Kindergarten through 6th grade and work with about 475 sensational students each week.

I would love to be able to provide them with more resources to help them express themselves as they create while they learn.

My Project

These creative resources will help students learn and explore the core curriculum in an artistic way. For example, the Sharpie markers will be used to create Dale Chihuly-inspired art pieces using line and color while also covering core science standards about chemical and physical changes. The ice cube trays will be used to better preserve paint as we paint masterpieces of Utah and American History. The supplies will be used on projects that integrate visual art with the core standards.

By integrating visual art with state Science, Social Studies, Math, and Language Arts standards students are given the opportunity to explore content in a creative way as they imagine, create, and inspire others.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
