Headphones are an essential tool for my students to use to maintain focus as they enhance their learning when using digital resources. Students will be able to use the headphones in class to minimize distractions while working as well as check them out for online learning at home.
Individual headphones will allow me to differentiate instruction without having it disturb others. One student can be working on one thing while another is doing something different without causing distracting noises. Students can focus on their own work without listening to what their neighbor is doing, stealing their focus away from their individualize instruction and practice.
These headphones will not only help students this year but for years to come. Headphones can help those who are hearing impaired; they can turn up their volume without bothering others. They can help English language learners who might need things repeated or turned up as well. They are a valuable tool that students can utilize to focus on their own work at their own pace as they learn and grow.
