Creating With Clay and Print Making

Help me give my students the tools they need to begin to experiment with some of the oldest types of art connect art making to art history.

My Project

Help my students grow their clay making skills and have the opportunity to build Vases and plates and even masks. With the materials from this project will students at my school will get to work with clay throughout the remainder of the year. We will focus on studying historical ceramic artists and Black Ceramists.

Our Clay projects made possible by your donations will be used for school beautification as well as handmade items students can take home.

We will be learning about Augusta Savage, Selma Burke, and SImone Leigh as well as clay mosaic practices and home used vessel making . With your help we will have another hands on way to integrate social studies, history and black American history into the art classroom.
