What was once just an open, noisy space now feels like a real learning environment — one where they can concentrate, ask questions, and feel proud of the work they do.\r\nThe chair you provided has made an enormous difference for me personally. As a physically disabled teacher, having a supportive seat is not just a comfort. It's an accessibility need that allows me to teach effectively and sustainably.\r\nYour generosity didn't just provide furniture; it restored a sense of normalcy and belonging to a space that didn't have either. My students see that learning matters here, and your kindness made that possible. Thank you for helping us turn a hallway into a classroom full of hope, heart, and math.","fullyFundedDate":1758636478948,"projectUrl":"project/a-classroom-at-the-end-of-the-hallway/9643186/","projectTitle":"A “Classroom” at the End of the Hallway","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10063182_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750801837995","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-smiths-accessible-classroom"},{"teacherId":10063182,"projectId":9431433,"letterContent":"When I first submitted this project, it was designed for a classroom — four walls, a whiteboard, and a door. But life had other plans. Due to space limitations, my students and I now learn in a hallway. Thanks to your generosity, what could have felt like a setback has become something beautiful.\r\nThe rug has transformed our little corner of the hallway into a real learning space — a place that feels safe, warm, and ours. The rug has provided them with a comfortable spot to sit that's not crowded around a small table. The document camera has made teaching so much more interactive, letting me share student work and model math problems clearly, even without a traditional classroom setup.\r\nYou didn't just fund supplies. You helped us build community, belonging, and pride in an unexpected space. My students walk into the hallway each day knowing that learning can thrive anywhere. These art supplies helped make the end of the school year successful! My students made so many different paintings and clay projects using the materials from this project. Students in grades 4 through 8 were able to decorate their clay projects with paint. Every grade used the paintbrushes for watercolor, tempera, and acrylic paintings. My 3rd through 6th grades used the sharpies in our Zentangle projects. I am proud to say that we pulled off my school's first official art show! \r\nThe markers, paintbrushes, and paint are still in great condition to for the 25-26 school year! We have made great use of all of the supplies provided to us. For Black History Month, 3rd-5th grade created City Collages inspired by Jacob Lawrence. We used the large construction paper for our backgrounds, and the liquid glue was very helpful! My middle schoolers are currently making Dragon Eye drawings using the excellent 9 by 12in mixed media paper. We used the sharpies for a Kinetic Piranha project that the students loved! Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten also made Heart Paintings using the mixed media paper. That paper is going a long way, and will last us until the end of the year! Fifth grade is currently creating backgrounds for their Funky Bunny Zentangle art project using that paper as well! \r\nWe also made abstract masks using the liquid glue, 1st grade Dream House paintings with the extra large mixed media paper, and Pre-k tape paintings with the 9 by 12 paper! My students were so grateful when I told them our project got funded. Some of them were in disbelief that someone was willing to donate so much. Their art skills and confidence grew with the higher quality materials, and I'm seeing great improvement in the quality of their artwork. Our next project for middle school will be a watercolor painting using the donated watercolor paper. I'm so excited to see how they come out! \r\nThank you so much for your generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1735589178734,"projectUrl":"project/whesms-art-class-supplies/8960297/","projectTitle":"WHESMS Art Class Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Neukirch","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9845176"},{"teacherId":9692840,"projectId":8681681,"letterContent":"I am happy to report that due to your generous donations, that past few months have been incredibly busy for my students, which I hope you'll except my apology for the delay. Because of your generous donations, my students are beginning to feel like accomplished musicians\r\n\r\nMy students have been able to participate in so many more activities then I even hoped for. My middle schoolers fully understand the concept of rhythm through the boomwhackers and the percussion instruments. They clap on beat and have accomplished some very hard rhythm patterns such as 6/8 time signature and 3/4 time. Every lesson I was able to quiz the students through written work and by ear through the instruments it has been great.\r\n\r\nMy little ones (elementary) have also begun to use boomwhackers and love the bells and clappers.
