My students attend a school with phenomenal teachers who are fighting hard to close the achievement gap in our country. While we have just as much love for our kids as any other teacher in a high-income area, we unfortunately do not have the necessary supplies and materials to adequately do our job. I currently teach kindergarten in a Title I public school in Baltimore City. I am a mentor teacher for teachers in UTC, Teach For America, UMBC and Loyola University. I have been the Community Connections Chairperson and have received the Dunkin' Donuts Community Hero Award for my work in the Baltimore community. I also served as Miss Baltimore 2013 and was a Miss Maryland finalist in the Miss America Organization. I am so grateful you have found my page and please consider donating to help the incredible children of Baltimore!
